HSIB shares learning internationally at New Zealand safety symposium

Saskia introduces the key themes she’ll talk about at the symposium including:

• safety investigations in the NHS in England
• HSIB and our systems approach to safety investigations
• human factors
• the significance of the first ever World Patient Safety Day.

The Human Factors in Healthcare Symposium takes place on 18 September 2019 at Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand. Although not a part of the initiative, it coincides with the first ever World Patient Safety Day. This is a global initiative established by the World Health Organization (WHO) to create awareness of patient safety and urge people to show their commitment to making healthcare safer.
