by Communications team

The Association of Ambulance Chief Executives and the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB) would like to invite you to a safety learning webinar which is aimed specifically for ambulance services staff.

Date: 21 June 2021: 13:00 – 14.00 UK time (additional question time from 14:00 – 14:30)

This free webinar is for all staff who are interested in service improvement and the wide variety of learning to be gained from HSIB’s unique and in-depth investigations and will supplement your CPD learning portfolio.

During this webinar HSIB will be sharing findings from its recent national investigation into emergency responses to heart attacks as well as a recent maternity investigation, which both involved the ambulance service.

Why attend?

In this webinar you will hear from HSIB’s Director of Investigations and Associate Director of Maternity Investigations, as well as national and maternity investigators. The webinar will provide an interactive question and answer session on HSIB’s investigation approach with an opportunity for you to explore in greater depth the recommendations which have already been given to the ambulance service to improve safety and patient outcomes.

The aim is to help you understand how HSIB’s experience can make a difference to frontline healthcare and improve patient safety.

Who should attend?

The following staff groups will find the webinar of particular interest:

  • Frontline ambulance staff
  • National directors & nursing/medical directors
  • Emergency call handling staff
  • Staff working in quality, patient safety, risk, and governance
  • 111 staff members
