Se-Yeon joined HSIB as Clinical Advisor in 2020. He provides expertise and quality assurance to our maternity investigations.
He earned his medical degree from Cambridge and St George’s University London, then went on to complete his paediatric specialist training in London whilst developing a specialist interest in neonates. Following this he moved to North Wales where he worked as a Neonatal Consultant and Clinical Lead for three years at the Sub Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Centre, overseeing and coordinating neonatal care across three hospitals.
Since June 2020 he has been based at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust. Here he provides acute care for babies on the neonatal unit and runs general paediatric outpatient clinics. Since January 2022, he serves as the Neonatal Clinical Lead for the Trust.
Se-Yeon is a fellow of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, a member of the British Association of Perinatal Medicine, and has been a member of the Welsh Medical Committee providing advice and guidance to the government.
