We’ve got two types of agreement in place that define our partnerships with other organisations:
- memorandums of understanding
- data sharing agreements
Memorandums of understanding
A memoranda of understanding (MOU) is a type of agreement between two or more parties. MOUs between HSIB and the organisations we work with ensures that effective healthcare safety investigations can be carried out while maintaining the independence of all parties and reinforcing the importance of close cooperation.
You can download and read PDFs of the memorandums of understanding in place between HSIB and:
- Care Quality Commission
- Department of Health and Social Care
- General Medical Council
- Parliamentary & Health Service Ombudsman
- Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists
- General Dental Council
- Medicines and Healthcare Regulation Agency
- Health Education England
- Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority
- Defence Safety Authority
Data sharing agreements
A data sharing agreement sets out a common set of rules to be adopted by the organisations involved in a data sharing operation.
We’re currently developing a data sharing agreement between HSIB and:
